Let p,q be distinct odd primes.In this paper we prove that if W(p,q) is a Whiteman difference set,then p=〖SX(〗1〖〗3〖SX)〗(ρ~(3~r)+ρ~(-3~r)-1) and q=ρ~(3~r)+ρ~(-3~r)+1,where ρ=2+〖KF(〗3〖KF)〗,ρ〖DD(〗-〖DD)〗=2-〖KF(〗3〖KF)〗,r is a positive integer.
