With the aid of regularizing filters, a new class of regularization methods called the modifed Tikhonov regularization for solving the first kind of operator equations with perturbed operators and noisy data are constructed. By choosing the regularization parameters appropriately, the convergence and optimum asymptotic order of the regularized solution is obtained.
